Rick Howie is busy establishing himself as a new designer maker.
Woodwork has been a lifelong interest for Rick and he has previously worked all over the world. His influences are varied but he prefers simple, clean lines and uses, wherever possible, sustainable local sources.
Rick's pieces are attractive and functional. He looks to use wood's texture and natural colouring to accentuate the overall design.
The Clissitt Chair, shown in the photograph, was a project completed by Rick during his time spent training with Peter Sefton.
